My name is Moire and I’m a client of R&F.
Four years ago while sitting at a light in New Jersey, my vehicle was rear-ended by a bus. And as the bus continued to pull away, my vehicle was being dragged by the bus. It almost ran me into vehicles in front of me. So shortly after the light had changed, the bus just took off.
I had two spinal surgeries: cervical and lumbar spine. During this period of time before my surgery, I underwent extensive physical therapy, acupuncture, pain management. It was a long road. And during that road, Ricigliano & Filopei, they were there.
When I came in, they were very respectful. But what impressed me most about the firm is their ability to be hands-on, and they were very attentive. Following up, keeping me in tune with my and giving me a play-by-play of what was going on.
What I did like is that they looked at my case from all angles, not just for the moment, but for the future. They had a specialist who did economic studies about how it would affect me, impact me financially. So I think that was very good. They had a lot of expert witnesses ready to go.
A lot of attorneys prefer the easier route, to settle. But I saw that they were willing to take it to trial and take it to the limit and not just settle for anything. So what I appreciate is that they were willing to go the road that was tougher. They knew the extent of my injuries, so they did not just accept and settle, and they fought harder for a bigger settlement.
I’m happy that I was able to retain Ricigliano & Filopei to handle my case.
